In the mood for great steak? Ready to be impressed by a quality wait staff? Have some extra cash in the ol’ wallet? Then my friends, it’s time to head on over to Morton’s of Chicago. But don’t let the name fool you… you only have to drive to Boca Raton.
Morton’s specializes in serving generous portions of USDA prime aged beef. They also serve fresh fish, lobster, chicken, and veal… although I’ve never steered (okay bad pun) away from the amazing cuts of steak. After all, it is a steak house.
A classy establishment, the wait staff all wears formal attire and assure to your every need. Although the Maitre’d can be a little rude, don’t let this discourage you. Once seated, the wait staff takes over and the magic begins. A side note on seating… there are some somewhat small tables that if you are, um… larger, may be uncomfortable. When seated there, I insist on another location.
After you’re seated, an impressive food cart is wheeled over to your party. Complete with fine cuts of meat and a very live lobster, the food presentation is nothing short of entertaining.
The entrées are generously sized and absolutely cooked to order. Complimenting your meal with a Family Portioned side will make the perfect addition (my favorite: Lyonnaise Potatoes). If you’re not a big eater, you may very well want to split one side between at least 2 people. Although if I’m at your table, this won’t be an issue.
If you’re an extremely huge eater, you may even dare to try the FatFreddy Special: The Porterhouse Steak for two (for one), Lyonnaise Potatoes, and Steamed Fresh Asparagus. I warn you though… sometimes I even have trouble finishing it all.
A cup of coffee, tea, or liquor is a fantastic way to end the meal. And if you have room, you can’t go wrong with the Godiva Cake or a made to order Dessert Soufflé.
So for a great steak dinner that you’ll be talking for weeks, head on over to Morton’s.
